Position Description: Restoration Students Director
The Restoration Students Director is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of middle school and high school ministry consistent with the vision, mission, and values of Restoration Covenant Church.

Restoration Covenant Church was launched eight years ago to be a community of people restored by Jesus to bring hope to the world. Our vision is to join with Jesus to transform communities. We help people make progress in their faith, heal the broken pieces of our lives and our world, and share the hope of Jesus through good deeds, good will, and good news. Restoration gathers in the heart of Apple Valley, Minnesota, twenty minutes south of the urban Twin Cities area. This suburb is filled with busy, young, and middle-aged families and as well as growing populations of singles and single parents, ethnic groups, and working poor.

Hours per week: 20-25 hours
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Oversees: Restoration Students adult leaders and students
Works with: Students, staff, ministry team leaders and families
Student Director Role Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership for ministry of Restoration Students, including but not limited to worship, connection, faith development, outreach and discipleship/confirmation experiences.
Work with staff and team leaders to recommend and help implement ideas for all-church events where students will be involved.
Pray for, plan, and execute 4 opportunities per year to reach out to students outside the church to expand the ministry of Restoration (student targeted).
Pray for, plan, and execute 3-4 student-targeted opportunities per year to connect with students inside the church to deepen the ministry of Restoration.
Develop and lead a volunteer team dedicated to student ministries.
Be responsible for the Biblical teaching in student ministry to ensure its relevance to the life of students and congruence with the vision and values of Restoration Church.
Communicate teaching topics and objectives as well as news and events to parents in appropriate and varied ways to sustain parent support.
Connect with other student directors/youth pastors through the Northwest Conference and in the area for support, mentoring, and continued growth (3-4 times per year).
Model outreach and faith development by being part of church life, including but not limited to, regular online interaction and in-person contact ministry with students, their families, and ministry volunteers.
Oversee the student ministry budget.

Genuine interest in people and an ability and willingness to initiate relationships with 6-12 grade students and their families
Education and ministry experience needed to accomplish the goals of this role (emphasis in Family/Youth Ministry or Education preferred)
Biblical understanding and an ability to communicate and apply that knowledge
