The HR Assistant/Receptionist is a key role in the HR Department.The HR Assistant/Receptionist is a hub for Cityteam employees and the public.This position handles multiple HR and general administrative tasks with accuracy while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and customer service. Due to the nature of this role, the HR Assistant/Receptionist must be able to complete projects and tasks in a timely and accurate manner while tactfully managing constant interruptions.
As the first point of contact at our main office, this position represents Cityteam in person, over the phone, and via email. The HR Assistant/Receptionist requires technical and soft skills necessary to complete projects, solve problems, answer questions, direct calls, and build positive working relationships. The HR Assistant/Receptionist will also be the lead in coordinating and executing large special events.

Welcome guests, answer questions, and assist as needed at the front desk.
Answer, screen, and route calls to the appropriate people.
Provide information about Cityteam’s programs and services to the public.
Special event coordination and execution.
Accurate filing and data entry.
Process background checks for volunteers.
Update Cityteam’s organizational chart and phone lists as needed.
Track and reserve conference rooms.
Collaborate with various managers to update Cityteam’s Event Calendar.
Provide outstanding customer service to staff and public.
Other duties and or special projects as assigned by the Senior Director of HR.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Some completed college course-work
2-3 years of administrative experience
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Good command of the English language in order to be able to write professional documents and business correspondences
Note: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Preferred Education and Experience
2+ years of HR Experience
