Located in Wayne, Michigan, New Hope Church has over 500 members in regular Sunday worship, and is committed to connecting people to Jesus and to each other. We believe that audio, video and lighting can be an excellent enhancement to worship and aid in bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The part-time Technical Director (TD) will oversee all aspects of live production and assist the New Hope Production Team with a creative vision to enhance the services at New Hope Church –Wayne. Areas of focus will include audio engineering, video broadcast, and some lighting. The TD will also be responsible for recruiting and mentoring volunteers to man all positions needed for a given event or worship service. This positon will be primarily located at our Wayne, Michigan campus.

Degree or certificate in relevant area of study preferred but can substitute with experience and some college completion

1. Preparing and Producing Live and Creative Technology: 2-3 hours a week—more during special events.
2. Participating in meetings/training: 3 hours a month. (i.e. Media Ministry and Leadership Monthly Meetings)
Serves as an encourager and mentor to the Production Team Volunteers and is able to fill in at any position, when needed, for Sunday Worship Services, band rehearsals, Vacation Bible Study, and special events.
Responsible for all camera operations, live streaming, audio mixing, videotaping, etc.
Possess an “artistic ear and eye” that will facilitate the highest level of audio and visual service from week to week.
Functions collaboratively with worship leaders, media coordinators, and social media team members to ensure a consistent branding of our church culture and message.
Responsible for assisting the Senior Pastor and Operations Manager with all technical operations including, but not limited to, system design, integration, upgrade, purchase and maintenance of systems.
Provides leadership as well as training for volunteers and other Production Team members.
Recruit and manage a core team of production volunteers.
This position will report to executive pastor, campus pastors, and director of operations.
Sundays: 6 hours
Tuesdays: 3 hours
Thursdays 3 hours
Saturdays: 3 hours
$180.00/week; 15/hours a week
