Job Description

Are you one who likes to learn all the new technology? Can you effectively train others in what you have learned? Can you design and support technology solutions? As the Lead Technology Coach, become a member of the Technology & Business Solutions team and help move JAARS farther forward from a paper to digital organization. 

Brief Description 

Provide consulting/training in business solutions for individuals and departments. 

  • For a full- or part-time (minimum 20 hrs./week) volunteer or a staff person who raises support
  • Must be able to work in the US 


  • Lead projects and direct the work of other Technology Coaches
  • Provide consulting/training in business solutions for individuals & departments
  • Serve as a key person in our Paper to Digital effort
  • Work primarily with non-enterprise systems, but may be assigned larger projects as well
  • Promote collaboration and help develop a standard set of technology tools
  • Stay informed about and test new technology tools
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with multiple tools
  • Learn about the many services JAARS offers
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Demonstrate a deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth

Education & Experience 

  • Minimum of four years working in the technology field
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with: G Suite, MS Office, Collaboration tools and Video communication tools: Zoom, Hangouts, etc.
  • Able to work with other tools: Trello, Smartsheet, Integration and automation tool 

JAARS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian ministry headquartered on a beautiful 500+ acre campus just south of Charlotte, NC. Our campus includes extensive training facilities, an airport, office and commercial facilities, guest housing, food services, recreational areas, health clinic, on-site childcare, and youth and family ministry support for staff and partners.
