Responsibilities and Duties
This position is responsible for bringing a specialized addictions focus to the program, including sharing addiction knowledge and advising addiction focused treatment. Adolescents that may be chemically dependent, sexually exploited and/or behaviorally/emotionally disturbed will be guided, educated and counseled by the Addictions Counselor. The Addictions Counselor will help provide relapse and prevention services for the youth within a group setting and individually.
Qualifications and Skills
*One of the following is REQUIRED:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy
CCAPP Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC-I or higher)
*Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII licensing regulations
*Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with at least 5 years driving experience and no more than 2 points on driving record
*Previous internship or employment in work with adolescents
