We are currently seeking quality candidates for outside B2B sales positions. The ideal candidate would possess experience in outside B2B sales, preferably in selling large capital goods. Background in AV, or contracting would be beneficial, but is not required. The successful Account Manager will be able to aggressively work their assigned geographic territory and find new construction projects requiring AV systems, or customers wishing to remodel or add to their existing facilities. The life cycle of the sale can be lengthy, and typically the larger the project that longer the sales cycle. The ability to build relationships and follow up with customers through the sales process is critical.
Most of the sales made and the work performed is for systems installed on a construction job site. The construction site may be new or existing construction and will include interfacing with other construction trades. For you to be successful, you will need to learn and be knowledgeable of construction processes, terms, and practices. You will be required to visit and be comfortable in reviewing job site conditions and the progress of the Ford AV installation as it relates to the project schedule.
Many of Ford AV’s installed systems are entertainment or performance systems where they are used for events in a church, theater, business, or sporting venue. Ford AV must meet the customer’s deadlines and the salesperson must attend these initial performances. In some cases the salesperson will operate the system and train the customer. Travel is required based upon your territory. If you are assigned a territory with a large metropolitan population, your out of town travel may be limited.
