World Poverty Solutions, an outreach under World Challenge, Inc., works to provide wholistic, biblically based program teaching to areas impacted by extreme poverty, both internationally and domestically. Drawing on biblical principals about God's caring provision, our efforts focus on training and development that prevents and eliminates poverty. World Poverty Solutions is actively recruiting for the role of Regional Coordinator. The Regional Coordinator is responsible for the administrative management of regional partner relationships and works with the Regional Director to empower indigenous leaders through Christian teaching and example, strategic long-term planning and program implementation, resulting in integrated and sustainable impact. Additionally, the Regional Coordinator is involved in the coordination of internal administrative, financial and communications procedures. World Poverty Solutions is currently recruiting for Coordinators to work in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Coordinate current programs:
Collaborate with the Regional Director.
Acquire a deep understanding of each partners status and development plans.
Develop and grow personal cultural competency with particular regard to the region assigned to improve ability to interact effectively and respectfully.
Create and submit partner profiles, budgets and activities for all assigned locations.
Manage outgoing wire requests and accounts payable database in coordination with Accounts Payable.
Communicate with partners frequently via calls and e-communications to ensure continued mission alignment, accountability, and best practices. Provide notes for Regional Director after all calls.
Visit partners annually, or more, for relationship building, training and mission alignment.
Collaborate with partners to write and implement annual support agreements, MOAs, OGSMs, budgets, and job descriptions.
Fulfill training and speaking engagements (facilitating, teaching, preaching, etc.) as needed.
Ensure adherence to program management procedures through coaching and accountability with a high degree of cultural competence.
Collect and maintain partner resource management and statistical databases of all partner programs.
Review all reports and budgets from regional partner to ensure adherence to agreed OGSM, work plans and WC Grant guidelines.
Develop new regional programs under direction of the Regional Director:
Network with churches, denominations and NGO’s via email, video or in-person interviews, meetings or workshops.
Research compatibility of potential partners to WPS vision, by reports and/or ground visits.
Classify potential new partners, using the WPS Partnership Criteria.
Develop initial broad plans for potential partnerships, outlining strategies, budgets and timetables.
Collaborate with new partners to write and implement MOA’s, OGSM’s, budgets and job descriptions.
Network and communicate:
Coordinate with regional teams and media contributors to identify, write, edit and/or proof media including blogs, photos and/or videos.
Maintain regional media database.
Provide articles, photos, videos, statistical data to WC Media Team.
Proofread and fact-check all departmental media content before submission to WC Media Team.
Write responses to social media and direct inquires, as requested.
Develop best practices:
Participate in wholistic ministry trainings and conferences, especially related to CHE.
Grow in knowledge of wholistic ministry concepts and practices through networking, exposure and self-study.
Participate in the research, development and dissemination of best practices and new methodologies in the Christian development world.
Participate in WC collaboration as requested.
Develop WPS training materials:
Research, acquire and/or develop workshop materials.
Prepare presentations and/or curriculum for topics on Christian growth, pastoral development, house church ministry, theological topics etc. as needed.
Coordinate the translation of CHE and internal training materials as needed.
Skills & Requirements
University degree within ministry, business, communications or related field
Minimum of 1-3 years field experience in mid-level ministry or business administration
Agreement and alignment with World Challenge's Statement of Faith
Fluent in foreign languages preferred, however, not required
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to supervisor and motivate team members and volunteers
Ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures with a healthy attitude towards cultural differences. A desire to gain knowledge and understanding of different cultural practices and world views.
