Gospel for Asia is seeking an experienced Network Administrator with a heart for transforming the lives of the impoverished and hurting through Jesus Christ. As a Network Administrator with GFA, at our headquarters outside Dallas Texas, you will design and maintain complex network systems that are critical to ministry operations. You will also work with other team members to secure sensitive information through the development and implementation of a comprehensive information security strategy. Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all local and wide area network connections and communication links.
Troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network performance across the organization’s LANs, WANs, and wireless deployments. Implement enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.
Optimize the performance and monitor the health of connections between GFA’s international headquarters and a variety of cloud computing providers and international offices.
Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
Maintain network security solutions, including firewall and intrusion detection systems.
Consult with, and provide training and support to, help desk support staff on network issues.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
Configure and administer a variety of security and network monitoring tools to provide insights to inform improvements and identify information security risks.
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, information security, and disaster recovery.
Maintain a servant heart and attitude toward the fellow staff

Education: BA/BS in related field. Equivalent education, experience, training, and certification may be substituted for education.
Experience: Seven years of professional experience working in the network administration, system administration, or information security fields.
CCNA or equivalent network administration experience or certification.
CISSP or significant experience in the domains of Communications and Network Security and Identity and Access Management
