Kodiak Alaska- Youth Pastor

Berean Baptist Church is a mission-minded Bible based church. We are a multi-generational congregation of 180 with a blended worship style.

Kodiak, Alaska is a close knit, friendly, ethnically diverse island community of roughly 13,500 people. It is 200 miles south of Anchorage. The city of Kodiak is home to our nations largest Coast Guard Station and commercial fishing port. Kodiak is a modernized, rural community with less than 100 miles of road. The island is accessible by air or ferry.

Job Summary:

This is a full time Youth Pastor position for someone who loves the Lord and doing things in His great outdoors. The new pastor will oversee our youth ministries, teach Sunday School for the Senior High and Wednesday night community youth service; plan and implement regular activities; as well as, mission trips; provide Biblical leadership and counseling to youth; and fill in for the Senior Pastor as needed. The Youth Pastor works under the direction of both the Deacons and the Senior Pastor in order to accomplish the goals of Berean Baptist Church.

Personal and Ministry Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a man who meets the following criteria:
Demonstrates a life-style in compliance with 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1
Demonstrates personal spiritual growth
Committed to long term youth ministry
BA in Ministry or Biblical studies
Minimum of 3 years experience in Youth Ministries
Committed to Baptistic doctrine
Resourceful
Enjoys outdoor activities
