The Worship Arts & Youth Discipleship Leader is a full-time, exempt position that exists to provide oversight of the youth and worship ministries.
A. Worship Arts
Work with the Senior Pastor on planning and leading services that reflect the vision and teaching of the Senior Pastor.
Lead HCC praise and worship in song on Sunday mornings and for special services, including weekly planning, practice, and communication.
Select, train, organize, and shepherd the worship musicians, the sound and lighting team, and the video team.
Coordinate Worship Arts for Sunday mornings.
Order and maintain equipment and music as necessary for team operations.
Ensure compliance with all video and copyright licensing laws.
Integrate biblical teaching and vision casting of HCC’s established mission & ministry in all aspects of the worship arts experience.
Develop and administer an annual budget for the Worship Arts Ministry area.
Help with funerals, weddings, and special events.
B. Youth Discipleship
Work with the Assistant Pastor to oversee, develop and evaluate HCC’s Fusion Youth & Fusion Family Ministry, including the recruitment, shepherding, and training of leaders.
Develop and teach Biblically-based lessons.
Oversee the promotion of Fusion opportunities.
Connect all generations with students.
Plan and participate in annual mission trips for Youth or Family.
Work with the Assistant Pastor in the evaluation of the Youth Discipleship area.
Develop and administer an annual budget for the Youth Discipleship area.
C. Other Ministry Responsibilities
Attend meetings and participate in the planning of church programs that will fulfill the mission of the church, including participation in various church teams, programs and ministries as directed.
Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Senior Pastor.

B. Knowledge & Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a ministry-related focus from an evangelical college or university.
Experienced and gifted in leading relevant and contemporary worship experiences.
Instrumental and vocal ability suited for leading a congregation in worship.
Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with sound, video and computer equipment.
C. Ministry Skills
Leadership ability to oversee multiple teams of adults and youth.
Collaborative ability to work with others in a team environment.
Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
D. Other Qualifications
Agrees with HCC’s doctrinal views and ministry philosophy.
Currently a member of HCC, or will seek membership within six months of hiring.
