The Youth Pastor of Grace Gospel Fellowship will be responsible for coordinating all programs related to GGF youth, grades 6-12, as well as planning outreach activities for non-GGF members. Primary duties will include:
Provide Pastoral Ministry with the Youth Ministry family (youth, parents of youth and youth leaders)
Coordinate weekly youth education activities.
Coordinate an overall youth curriculum plan for the church for a balanced comprehensive Christian education to Youth/Students.
Coordinate and implement an annual youth ministry budget proposal, and administer that budget as approved by the Board of Directors.
Create events for parents of youth related to their parenting roles, and activities for parents and youth.
Coordinate the planning to ensure Youth/Students experience personal worship and praise through preaching and music activities.
Share the gospel with lost youth/students and lost parents on an ongoing basis, both individually and cooperatively.
Create and implement an overall youth evangelism strategy for the church.
Network with other youth leaders in the community to support youth in starting and strengthening ministries.
Mentor youth in developing their leadership skills.
Be a liaison between the church and other community organizations, people, and resources that relate to youth and youth ministries.
Coordinate Sunday school curriculum for youth (grades 6-12) and recruit teachers through membership of GGC
Keep records of youth participation and manage the youth ministry budget.
Communicate in a timely manner and as effectively as possible using all available resources (email, website, bulletin, newsletter, bulletin board, etc.). Ensure communication with church staff and leadership, parents, and the congregation as a whole.
Make yourself available to youth in a variety of ways (i.e. lunch at school, attendance at extracurricular activities, visitation, times of crisis, etc.)
Work in concert with the gifts and talents of other staff members and maintain a teamwork mentality.
Ensure that the Child Protection Policy is observed in all youth ministry settings.
