"The Boyd Church of Christ in Boyd, Texas is currently looking for a youth minister to labor alongside a dedicated and supportive group of elders and deacons in serving both the needs of our young people and in reaching the community of Boyd in furthering the gospel of Christ. The community of Boyd is a growing community on the Northwest edge of Fort Worth, and is surrounded by rural areas with large numbers of people waiting to be reached with the gospel. Our youth group of 20+ kids is currently active in area events such as LTC, Summer Youth Series, Central Texas Christian Camp, and hosts annual trips for the Aggies for Christ. They are also active in mission work, partner with local food banks, and are at the forefront of our ministry to our older members. We are looking for an enthusiastic Christ follower who will develop, implement, and facilitate an effective youth program for students grades 6-12, who also has a love and desire to engage younger kids in preparation for their future youth group membership. The applicant will have the opportunity to help lead and organize a Bible teaching program, conduct spiritual and social activities that empower our teens and preteens, and develop a program, with full support and assistance, that is as inviting to non-believers and the unchurched as it is to our own families. The primary focus of this position would be on the youth, but we are looking for someone to be a member of our congregation—someone who will play an active role in visitation, benevolence, and the outreach and service calling of the Church. Our youth minister will be called upon from time to time to preach, and also to lead singing, if his talent permits. We are mission focused, both locally and outwardly, and we are prayerfully searching for someone who will work alongside families to cultivate the love that is at the heart of the gospel in our kids. We are looking for someone who is energetic, organized, and innovative who has a thirst for deeper Bible knowledge and the heart of God, who promotes spiritual living and a love of scripture, and who has the ability to delegate and direct a willing and supportive core of volunteers. The ideal candidate would be a minister in our community, active in building the youth group through welcoming new youth and fostering the growth of the ministry under his charge. This is a truly missional position, and we are looking for someone who is seeking this position as part of his desire to serve and bring others closer to God."
