The Worship/Media Pastor shall be the lead worshiper of the Assembly.
Will directly supervise the music/media team in all matters pertaining to the music and/or media department.
Will hold the title of Associate Pastor of the Church fulfilling all responsibilities as issued by the Senior Pastor.
Will follow the vision and direction of the church as God directs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship Pastoral Duties
Will provide worship ministry for all services required by lead pastor and will also provide for special meetings and conventions.
Will attend all staff meetings, pastoral meetings, and any other required meetings.
Will be responsible for worship for all services and special events that the church requires.
Will be responsible for all necessary rehearsals.
Will keep track of budgets for entire music and media departments.
Will oversee pastoral obligations to the media staff, choir, and band members.
Will oversee the responsibilities of the team leaders who serve within the music and media ministry.
Will discern the move of the Holy Spirit during the worship portion of the services, flowing hand-in-hand with the lead pastor.
Associate Pastoral Duties
Fill in and minister on Sunday’s & Wednesday Nights a few times a year when the Senior Pastor is out of town.
Help in the management of staff, ministry heads and volunteers.
Participate and help implement the vision of the church.
Co-lead Staff meetings with Senior Pastor.
Help in hospital visitation.
Help in Counseling of church membership.
Participate in Board Meetings once a month.
Oversee the churches “We Care” benevolence meeting.
Information Technology Dept. (I.T.)
Will oversee this department in the following 3 major areas: The computer hardware and software, the network, and the wireless (wifi) aspects of the entire campus.
Will be responsible for the implementation of any new lines or cables that need to be installed or re-ran due to instability or wear over time.
Will oversee any part-time staff and/or volunteers that would be assisting in the integrity of the system.
Will ensure that in the event of an outage or lack of any of the above services, the service would be restored promptly and in a timely manner.
Will be responsible for the implementation of new music.
Will oversee the recording of the Sunday services for training purposes.
Will ensure the recording of the live services, with the intent of capturing the moves of God for further use.
Will oversee the recording and editing music for video announcements.
Will ensure that all levels are accurate and even within the system for all band members and lead team members.
Will ensure that all wiring and cabling is wired properly and in proper order.
Will oversee that this system is in full working order and that all programing is set at accurate levels for Wednesday and Sunday services.
Will directly oversee the Church website working with other, staff and volunteers to help make sure. . .
It is up to date with accurate information
It is visually appealing, dynamic and relays the vision and mission of Family Life Assembly of God.
Is useful for online giving
Has a separate page for each ministry of Family Life included
Has sermons present and readily available
Has other resources for discipleship available.
Will receive counsel from the Lead Pastor in fulfilling all responsibilities in both written and oral communications.
Will exemplify and advocate clear and effective communication in all avenues of church life.
Will provide annual reviews on music/media department and make suggestions for improvement.
Will exemplify and advocate the teachings and Spirit of Jesus Christ with all of his dealings with the staff and members of this Assembly.
Will maintain a spirit of cooperation with the Assemblies of God on national, district, and sectional levels.
Will seek to promote harmony and good will between this Assembly and other local churches, especially those of like faith.
Will be concerned for gaining and keeping the good will of the community toward this Assembly.
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading a worship team
Have a minimum of 3 years as a pastor in a role of leading others
Have sufficient knowledge/experience in areas of responsibility pertaining to sound, lighting, media.
Knowledge of Graphics and video production software is preferred but not necessary if the candidate has the capacity and desire to learn.
Should hold credentials with the Assemblies of God or similar credentialing body aligning with a Spirit filled church. If the candidate does not possess credentials should be willing to get credentialed within first year.
