Short Description: To serve and support WA managers with effective personnel recruitment and appropriate financial structures. To serve and support all WA personnel with effective policy admnistration and benefits.
Detail: Develop Human Resources systems and services to support the continued increase in WA personnel worldwide. Serve as a member of the Leadership Team, coordinating with the CEO and other LT members on a regular basis. Manage and develop Human Resources team including, communication, encouragement, motivation and spiritual leadership. Develop goals, plans, budgets and programs in cooperation with Recruiting division Vice-President and Directors. Laed Human Resources in effective teamwork with the Area Recruiters and Training department as part of Recruiting division. Specific Responsibilities: Coordinate direction, planning and implementation of Human Resources consistent with WA strategic plan and budget. Administration of hiring process for paid and volunteer personnel from first contact through assignment to other WA divisions or partner organizations worldwide. Proactively advocates and supports the expansion of voluteer involvement both within Wycliffe Associates and our partner organizations. Recommends, develops, and oversees implementation of policies, procedures and programs relating to employee benefits, compensation, employment, training, and safety in compliance with federal, state or local employment laws and regulations. Supports a corporate culture that values all personnel. Provides counsel and conflict resolution throughout the organization on Human Resources issues. Develops working relationships with partner Wycliffe and SIL entities to proactively address issues and develop agreements related to volunteer staff, supported staff, foreign assigned staff, secondment, etc. Maintains personnel file documentation and actively manages disclosure and confidentiality in partnership with WA staff, management, and partner organizations. Provide professional development opportunities and performance evaluations for direct reports. Written department report to the divisino Vice-President for inclusion report to the board of directors and/or its committees as requested. Qualifications: Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources, Management or Business Administration. A minimum of 10 years professional experience, including five years HR management. Experience in nonprofit and volunteer administration preferred. Experience in recruiting, training, benefits and compensation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A demonstrated record of being a team leader with the ability to encourage, motivate, resolve conflicts and assist others in being successful. Ability to work as part of a globally-distributed team with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
