Full-time Position (paid hourly with OT and benefits)
Brief Job Qualifications forTeaching Parent Position
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be a single female without live-in dependents as candidate MUST be able to live on premises in provided staff apartments.
Must have at least a high school diploma and minimum of one-year experience in the field of youth ministry, or like experience. Furthermore, experience with traumatized youth preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain a CPR and first aid certification within six months of date of hire. (Paid Training Provided)
Must provide 5 references concerning professional abilities and work ethics.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have never been convicted of a felony that would impede working with our residents.
Main Place Youth, Inc. (MPY) is a faith-based organization providing a “home-away-from-home” environment while ministering to teenage girls, ages 12 to 18, with destructive lifestyles. MPY is a not-for-profit ministry, licensed with the state of Kansas as a residential treatment facility. We are proudly affiliated with Teen Challenge USA and the Assemblies of God Fellowship.

Main Place Youth, Inc. is a Christian faith-based organization providing a “home-away-from-home” environment while ministering to teenage girls, ages 12 to 18, with addictive and destructive lifestyles. Some of the lifestyles MPY has worked with are: behavior issues, substance abuse including drug/alcohol/tobacco/pornography, eating disorders, mental/physical/emotional/sexual abuse, neglect, promiscuity, and runaways. At Main Place Youth we provide:
Guidance, support, and training for girls in a family structured home setting
Individualized Christian counseling for the girls and their parents, to enable the girls to return home or establish other healthy living situations
A caring atmosphere with fulltime live-in teaching parents who provide role modeling at an amazing 7:1 or better staff to resident ratio with a maximum of 14 residents at any given time
Christian education and an active, daily spiritual life including significant local church involvement at Covenant Assembly of God
Research-based, strengths-focused approaches that bring positive growth and change
Excellent educational opportunities through USD 331 Kingman public schools supplemented by at-home tutoring provided by a licensed USD 331 teacher
High quality services and facilities supported by regular state inspections
Well below national average tuition costs reflective of a substantial donor base and fundraising held by our Board of Directors
