Title: Information Technology /Audio-visual Technician

Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Essential job functions:
Employee fully supports the Statement of Faith of CVCS and performs in such a way as to fulfill the school mission statement.
Cooperates with the staff and administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
More detailed job duties:
Provide system management for tasks related to the school’s information system network including:
Maintenance of user access accounts to systems and software.
Issuing, tracking and inventory of all technology & worship center assets.
Installation of new software and/or upgrading of existing technology.
Installation of new software upgrades with faculty, staff and students.
General Technology Management:
Coordinate the activities of the Student Technical Support Team (STS Team) within CVCS.
Assist with the training of students for the 1 to 1 laptop and iPad programs.
Assist with the imaging and maintenance of the 1 to 1 laptop and iPad programs.
Provide end user support to both staff and students.
Assist with the acquisition and installation of all computer, communications and sound systems.
Communicate and implement all school technology policies as directed.
Audio-Visual Technology Support:
Under the direction of the IT Director, responsible for the operational readiness & support of the worship center technology & training of the staff and student operators.
Under the direction of the IT Director provide audio, video & lighting system support for activities and events in the Gym and Worship center. (some events such as preforming arts performances, athletics, and meeting events are scheduled after normal hours)
Minimum education requirements:
College degree or demonstrated knowledge and skills with proven leadership, organizational talent and the ability to effectively delegate are essential. A minimum of three years of experience in the Information systems field is preferred.
Position requires prolonged standing and sitting, bending, stooping and stretching. Position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
Position requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Typical mental requirement:
Employee must be able to give, receive and analyze information, prepare written materials, and input information into a computer. Employee must understand people and effectively communicate with them, answering questions in a professional and friendly manner. The position requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. The employee must be able to make effective decisions in the supervisor’s absence.
Employee works in a typical school setting. The employee must be able to multitask, as student needs frequently need attention during a typical school day.
Employee may be required to work overtime.
Employee is, during work hours, always vigilant as a supervisor of children.
The employee is always a positive representation of CVCS, and a positive role model to students and parents.
