Elizabeths New Life Center is seeking a skilled grant writing professional for our Grant Manager/Writer position. The position is part-time, working 25-29 hours or can be a full-time position if that is what you seek, working our Dayton, Ohio Administration Office. The position is responsible for identifying and prospecting funding sources and for using their most influential writing skills to secure funds supporting existing or planned future activities. Work with various types of funding grants including private, foundation, government, etc. is required to be successful in this position. A can-do attitude, with exceptional writing and organizational skills are necessary to be successful. The ability to Manage grant applications in limited time frames and combining multiple ideas and purposes is a must. This person must love writing as they will also write annual reports, thank you letters, blog posts, etc. Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Non-profit Management, Communications or similar function required. Minimum of two years experience with grant writing and budget proposals a must. Previous experience with non-profit fundraising preferred. Knowledge of federal grant guidelines, fundraising information sources, fundraising techniques and strategies and research techniques are critical. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, type 50 wpm, and be capable of working in a deadline driven, team environment.
