ADMIN - Marriage and Family Life Ministry

Family Life Admin

Our mission is to help as many people as possible become totally committed to Jesus Christ

Primary Description:  
The Family Life admin performs a range of tasks and provides the Family Life pastor and departmental Directors with administrative support.

Status: Full Time

Lines of Accountability:   Family Life Pastor

Ministry Responsibilities:
1.  Administrative Support

  • General administration for the Family Life Pastor and Children’s Ministry department.

  • Update database: create new family profiles, update existing profiles, keep all departmental groups up-to-date. 

  • Provides coordination efforts to the departments within Family Life.

  • Provide admin and database support to the coordinators of each Children’s Department.

  • Ordering supplies and materials.

2.   Child Dedications / Family Baptism Class

  • Complete Ministry Publicity form with quarterly dates.

  • Maintain registration sheet and online form

  • Correspond with families, gather their information, and give direction

  • Print Child Dedication certificates and put together packet with certificate and DVD to send home with families.  

3.  Special Events

  • Complete Publicity Forms (bulletin announcements and weekly emails)

  • Keep track of and maintain any registration forms.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of the event.

  • For all events: Yearly (around November), enter all events for the upcoming year into database and set up check-in. This includes: Sunday morning gatherings, Awana, Child Dedications & Orientations, Family Baptism Class, VBS, Volunteer Training Dates, etc.

4.  Social Media

  • Updates the Shoreline website with Family Life ministry information.

  • Updates Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for Family Life ministries.

5.   Marriage and Parenting

  • Completing Publicity Forms (bulletin announcements, weekly emails, etc).

  • Social Media (Wordpress page, Instagram, Texting list)

  • Record event attendance.

  • Weekly parent emails and communication.

  • Event prep and brainstorming.

  • Keep track of and maintain any registration forms.

  • Yearly (around November), enter all events for the upcoming year into database and set up check-in (if needed).
