We are looking for a great Preschool Teacher for our unique preschool on the Issaquah/Sammamish Plateau. Our school is based on purposeful play. We believe that faith and spirituality must be taught with other subjects at a young age, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
We believe that fostering an awareness of God's love for each child completes the child emotionally preschoolers are not too young to learn about social justice issues such as peace, tolerance and diversity. Participating in charitable events is extremely satisfying and develops a sense of community in the children. We easily incorporate philanthropy into the flow of the school routine. Helping those in need becomes part of the curriculum during special times of the year.

Among other things, the Preschool Teacher will:
* Construct a daily schedule of classroom routines and developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests, choices, and developmental themes creating a learning environment that invites exploration bringing meaningful discovery.
* Prepare and implement lesson plans that include nature, music, language, faith, health, nutrition, and outdoor activities
* Interact positively with all children to support their individual learning and meet their emotional needs.
* Observe, document and assess children's learning in order to support each child's greatest potential.
* Build relationships and seek partnerships with families and communicate information to parents
* Monitor duties of assistant(s), volunteer(s), etc.
* Build community relationships and represent school at events, as well as in the wider community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
** AA Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA (or working towards w/minimum of 35 credits). We prefer AA or BA degree in Early Childhood and Education
** Two or more years experience working with preschool children
** Current Food Handlers Card
** Successful completion of a criminal background check
** CPR, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogen certificates
** Current TB test
