Worship Pastor

Position: Worship Pastor

Purpose: To plan, coordinate, and lead transformational God-centered worship for Trinity Bible Church;  a medium-sized (750 across three Sunday services), non-denominational, Bible-centered church located Lafayette, LA. 

Worship style: contemporary and blended (contemporized hymns)

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Responsibilities

·         Provide vision and leadership to the worship team

·         Plan and implement music and media elements for all worship services and special events

·         Work with the Senior Pastor to coordinate theme and flow of each service

·         Recruit, train, and prepare volunteers to serve in the worship ministry (band, praise team, drama team, etc.)

·         Recruit and train volunteers involved in the technical, media and sound elements of each service and special events

·         Work with church staff to carry out the ministry goals and vision of the church

Skills/ Competencies

·         Strong musician- proficient on guitar and/or keys

·         Experience with multiple instruments

·         Ability to lead band and vocal rehearsals

·         Strong vocalist

·         Leadership ability

·         Ability to collaborate with multiple personality types

·         Ability to manage tasks from brainstorming to implementation

·         Read music

·         Music arrangement
